Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time on the same day (for example, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM), the calculator treats this as an overnight shift and adds 24 hours to calculate the correct duration of 8 hours.
What is the decimal hours format?
Decimal hours express time as a single number. 7 hours 30 minutes = 7.5 hours, 8 hours 15 minutes = 8.25 hours. This format is required by most payroll systems and time-tracking software that calculate gross pay as hours × rate.
How do I calculate my weekly pay from this?
